About the role:

Manage development, implementation, and maintenance of one or more accounting functions including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue reconciliation, and cash flows in accordance with generally accepted accounting policies and procedures. This team in onsite at our Cincinnati office 2 days a week.

What you will be doing:

  • Develops, leads, manages, and motivates staff.
  • Monitors staff performance works with the People Office on issues and works with employees to implement goals and document progress.
  • Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
  • Ensures timely and accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and revenue.
  • May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies.
  • Participates in annual audits, and special projects.
  • Identifies areas of potential improvement.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Some people manager experience. Familiar with coaching, feedback and performance reporting
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
  • Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management
  • Ability to design, document, and implement process improvements
  • Strong system management/control experience

Not required but preferred:

CPA License

Hyperion, Oracle or SAP proficiency
